A house fire broke out on St. Andrews Road in Ramsgate on Sunday evening (October 27), prompting a swift response from Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS). The incident was reported at 5:53 p.m., with fire crews arriving promptly at the scene.
Two fire engines attended the scene, where firefighters in full protective gear, including breathing apparatus, used high-pressure hose reel jets to bring the blaze under control. The fire was successfully extinguished, but one individual suffered smoke inhalation and was treated by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).
KFRS’s Volunteer Response Team was also present to assist with the incident. The fire was fully contained by 7:25 p.m., and the cause of the fire has yet to be disclosed. Emergency services continue to remind residents of the importance of having working smoke alarms and maintaining fire safety practices in the home.
No further injuries were reported, and the scene was secured after emergency services concluded their work.
