A murder investigation has been launched after a 36-year-old woman was found dead in a west London flat following reports that a man had forced his way inside.
Police Called to Scene After Reports of Forced Entry
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to a residential property on Coulter Road at 10:13 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, after receiving reports that a man was attempting to break into a flat.
When officers arrived and gained entry, they discovered a woman with a severe head injury. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested on Suspicion of Murder
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
The victim’s next of kin has yet to be informed, and authorities are awaiting formal identification. A post-mortem examination is expected to take place soon to determine the exact cause of death.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Ollie Stride, who is leading the investigation, urged any witnesses to come forward as officers piece together the events leading to the woman’s death.

“I understand the impact this incident will have had on neighbours and the community, and we are doing everything we can to investigate the circumstances.
