On Monday, 3 June, at around 1 pm, police responded to reports of youths in possession of a knife in Queens Park, Brighton. Following a thorough search of the area, officers located four teenagers from Brighton nearby.
Among the group, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place. Another 16-year-old was apprehended on suspicion of possessing a class B drug. Additionally, a fourth teenager was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug but was subsequently released without charge.

The two 16-year-olds, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were formally charged on Monday evening (3 June). The first individual faces charges for possession of a bladed article in a public place, while the second is charged with possession of a class B drug. Both teenagers have been bailed ahead of their upcoming court appearance.
The 15-year-old, who was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article, has also been bailed pending further enquiries.
