A woman suffered serious injuries after falling from a motorway %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%%bridge %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%%over the M65 at england/%%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%%/brierfield/”>brierfield/”>Brierfield on Sunday morning.
%%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% Constabulary and emergency crews rushed to the scene at 7.37am following a welfare concern report.
Fall Occurred During Police Contact
A police spokesperson revealed the woman fell from %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%%the bridge while officers were speaking to her. She was quickly rushed to hospital with serious leg and pelvic injuries.
"Thankfully, her injuries are not life-threatening," the spokesperson confirmed.
Road Closure and Ongoing Appeal
The incident forced the closure of the westbound carriageway between junctions 13 and 12, causing some travel chaos. The road has since reopened to traffic.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call 101 quoting log 0265 of 28th September.
