A fire broke out at a flat on Glendower Crescent, Bromley, on the morning of October 18, prompting an emergency response from the London Fire Brigade.

Fire crews received the 999 call at 9.21am, and four fire engines with around 25 firefighters from Orpington, Sidcup, and Bromley stations were dispatched to the scene. The blaze partially destroyed a three-room flat on the second floor of the three-storey building.

Fortunately, seven adults managed to evacuate the property before firefighters arrived. One person suffered smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene by emergency services.

The fire was brought under control by 10.11am. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and authorities are working to determine what led to the incident.

The London Fire Brigade has thanked the public for their cooperation and advised residents to stay vigilant and ensure they have working smoke alarms installed in their homes.
