A 58-year-old Swindon man has received a suspended sentence after breaching a Sexual Risk Order (SRO) that restricts his movements within specific areas and times. Sean Morris, of Massinger Walk, was sentenced to 40 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, after he admitted to violating his %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% order twice at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on October 25.
The breaches occurred on August 31 and September 12, during which Morris entered the Broadgreen area between 5:30 p.m. and 7 a.m., in direct violation of the restrictions imposed by his SRO. Sexual Risk Orders are issued by the court to individuals deemed a sexual risk to the public, even in the absence of a formal conviction.
PC Katie Owers commented, “Morris poses a particular risk to vulnerable %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% and sex workers. This court order was granted based on extensive intelligence gathered from these women and our partner agencies. It's essential that anyone with concerns about someone's behavior report it to us so we can protect vulnerable individuals.”
