A13 commuters faced chaos this morning after a concrete mixer collided with road barriers, causing severe delays and a massive recovery operation.

The incident occurred when the driver of the mixer truck reportedly made a last-minute decision to change lanes in an attempt to use the flyover, resulting in the vehicle ploughing into roadside barriers. The collision left debris scattered across the A13, bringing traffic to a standstill.

Specialists from the Metropolitan Police’s Commercial Vehicle Unit responded to the scene and interviewed the driver, who claimed the crash was due to indecision.
