Man Arrested After Fatal Stabbing in Lewisham
Overview
A murder investigation has been launched after a 26-year-old man was stabbed to death at a residential property in Monson Road, New Cross.
Police were called to the address at 19:26hrs on Saturday evening following reports of a man with stab injuries. Officers, %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% Ambulance Service crews, and London Air Ambulance medics attended the scene and provided emergency medical care.

Despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% is being supported by specialist officers.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder a short time later. He remains in police custody.

Murder Probe Underway
Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, who is leading the investigation, said:
"Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim at this difficult time.
I understand this incident will be concerning and we are carrying out a fast-paced and thorough investigation to establish the circumstances.
I would encourage anyone who has not yet spoken to us to come forward."
