Massive Fire Destroys Two Houses
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters battled a fierce blaze on Ensign Drive, england/%%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%%wales/Southgatesouthgate-wales/”>%%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%%/Southgatesouthgate/”>Southgate today. The fire gutted most of the first floor and roof of a detached house, then spread to a neighbouring home, damaging its roof and first floor as %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%%well. An outbuilding also suffered fire damage.
Thankfully, one woman had already fled the property before firefighters arrived.
Quick Response From Multiple Fire Stations
London Fire Brigade received the first emergency call at 1.49pm Crews from %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%%, Hornsey, %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%%, %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_5%%, and %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_6%% rushed to the scene. The fire was brought under control by 15:38 after a tense battle.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the devastating blaze is still unknown and active investigations continue.
