London has suffered another savage week of violence from September 18 to 25, with stabbing and shooting incidents ripping through key areas across the capital. The Met Police have confirmed attacks in Wembley, england/Leicesterleicester/”>Leicester Square, Edgware, Paddington Green, and Brixton.
Wembley Shooting: 18-Year-Old Boy Fights for Life
Police rushed to Atlantic Crescent, Wembley Park, at 5.27am on Sunday, September 21, after reports of a shooting near South Way and First Way. An 18-year-old boy was found unresponsive outside the Crystal Club and remains in a life-threatening condition four days later.
Rafael Reveane Rodriguez, 39, from middleton/”>middleton-wales/”>Middleton Road, Morden, was charged with attempted murder on Wednesday, September 24. Dennis Gambrah, 32, of Lewisham, was also arrested and charged on Tuesday, September 23. Six others face arrest in connection with the case.
Knife Rampage Hits Leicester Square, Leaves Four Injured
Just hours after the Wembley shooting, four men in their 20s and 30s were slashed during a brutal knife attack in Leicester Square at around 1am on Sunday.
Thankfully, their injuries are not life-threatening. A 50-year-old man has been arrested on multiple charges, including grievous bodily harm, affray, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of a Class B drug.
Knife Threats and Stabbings Spread Across The Capital
- Edgware: On Monday, September 22, police and paramedics were called to McDonald’s on Stonegrove after reports of a man wielding a knife. A teenager suffered a minor knee cut and was treated on the spot.
- Paddington Green: A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the arm on Tuesday, September 23. He was hospitalised but his injuries were not life-threatening. A 17-year-old from Westminster has since been charged with wounding with intent, weapon possession, and Class B drug possession. He was remanded in custody after appearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on September 25.
- Brixton: Two 16-year-old boys were hurt in a knife-involved fight on Acre Lane on Tuesday evening. One suffered a stab wound but neither injury was deemed serious. Police attended the scene shortly after 5pm.
