Leon Thomas, 53, from Ipswich, has been locked up for five years after a jury found him guilty of raping a woman known to him. The chilling offence took place at the victim’s own home.

Evidence Included Shocking Audio Recording

During the trial at Ipswich Crown Court, it emerged that a video was recorded during the attack. Although the visuals were unclear, the audio captured the victim pleading with Thomas to stop. This powerful recording played a key role in securing the conviction.

Lifetime Sex Offender Registration

Judge ordered Thomas to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life. His sentencing took place on Thursday, 27 November, bringing justice to the victim and sending a clear message on serious sexual offences.
