A 13-year-old girl was reportedly gang raped after being dragged into the toilets of a KFC in Paris while out with a friend. Four men have been arrested in connection with the shocking attack.
Horrific Attack Inside Busy Shopping Centre
The horrific incident took place late Monday evening in the Les Halles district, a bustling central area of Paris. The teenage victim was separated from her friend and forced into the fast-food restaurant’s restrooms inside the Forum des Halles shopping centre.
A passerby found the girl crying and immediately contacted police. After listening to her tearful account, officers rushed to the scene and the victim was able to point out her alleged attackers.
Four Suspects in Custody
Police promptly arrested four men aged between 18 and 24 at the shopping centre. They are being held on suspicion of raping a minor under the age of 15 and are currently being questioned by the Juvenile Protection Unit.
The girl has since received urgent medical and psychological support.
Community Shocked as Investigation Continues
The victim was out with friends in the Chatelet-Les Halles district when the brutal assault happened at around 10:45 pm on December 1.
Authorities are continuing their investigation, and the public has been urged to come forward with any information.
Police and local officials have condemned the attack and vowed to bring justice to the young victim.
