A British Airways flight to Chennai was forced to return to Heathrow Airport shortly after takeoff today following a flap adjustment failure onboard.

Flight #BA35, operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (reg: G-ZBJG), departed Heathrow bound for Chennai (MAA) but quickly reported a technical issue after departure.

The flight crew declared the issue and entered a holding pattern to dump fuel over the southeast of %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% for over an hour. %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% were placed on standby at Heathrow.

The aircraft safely landed back at LHR at just before 2pm on Sunday 15th June 2025, and all passengers disembarked without %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%%.
