A gang of four crooks have been slammed with jail for a car theft rampage across north Worcestershire. The crew swiped vehicles and burgled homes in Redditch, Bromsgrove, Solihull, and Leamington late last year.
Huge Sentences for Redditch and Bromsgrove Crime Wave
- Eid Ajam, 20, from Solihull, got nearly three years for stealing cars plus almost three years for break-ins — to run at the same time.
- Sufian Younis, 21, also from Solihull, was handed two years and seven months for vehicle theft and two years and four months for burglaries concurrently.
- A 16-year-old lad from Birmingham was hit with a strict two-month curfew, rehab orders, and a 12-month ban on contacting his gangmates.
- Alfie Flynn, 18, from Birmingham, escaped jail but got a suspended sentence just over a year for both stealing cars and break-ins.
11 Offences Across Four Towns
The four men were convicted of conspiracy to commit burglary dwelling and conspiracy to steal motor vehicles for crimes that took place between November and December 2023. Their spree included six offences in Redditch and Bromsgrove, four in Solihull, and one in Leamington.
Police arrested the gang using a vehicle tied directly to the crimes, ending their cross-town crime wave.
“These sentences send a clear message that organised vehicle theft and burglary will not be tolerated in our communities,” said a West Midlands Police spokesperson.
