An investigation into a major blaze at a disused property in %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% has concluded – but the cause remains undetermined due to the severity of the damage.

Emergency services were called at 5:23pm on Tuesday, 2 September, to reports of a fire at a two-storey building on Old Road.

Fire crews from Chesterfield, Matlock, %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% attended, supported by an aerial ladder platform. %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% to bring the fire under control.

The operation continued into the early hours, with crews leaving the scene at 3:30am on %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% morning (3 September). They returned later that day at 8:30am to reinspect the building and complete fire investigation %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%%.

Cause Undetermined
