The crews tackled the flames with specialised chimney gear and cooled the surrounding brickwork using high-pressure %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%%hose reel jets.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
The blaze is believed to have started accidentally.
Firefighters Issue Urgent Autumn Warning
Following the scare, firefighters urge homeowners to have their chimneys and flues swept and inspected regularly.
