A woman has been charged after West Midlands Police recovered four firearms and ammunition from an address in Coventry.

Acting on intelligence, officers executed a search warrant at a property on %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% Avenue on Friday evening (25 April). During the search, %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% seized a revolver, a pistol, and two sawn-off shotguns, along with a quantity of ammunition.

Katie Baxendale, aged 32, was arrested at the scene. She has now been charged with five separate offences relating to the possession of firearms and ammunition.

Ms. Baxendale appeared before Coventry Magistrates’ %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% today, where she was remanded in custody. She is due to make her next %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% appearance on 29 May 2025.

A spokesperson for %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%% said:

“This recovery demonstrates our commitment to tackling illegal firearms and protecting our communities. We encourage anyone with information about illegal weapons to come forward.”

The %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_5%% remains ongoing as officers continue efforts to disrupt organised criminal activity in the region.
