A woman has died aboard the Sky Princess cruise ship after reportedly attempting to jump from the vessel during its return journey to Florida from a Caribbean voyage.

The tragic incident occurred on Saturday, with the woman reportedly landing on the ship’s deck after the jump. Despite immediate medical assistance from the ship’s personnel, the woman could not be revived.

A spokesperson for Princess Cruises confirmed the incident:
“Shipboard personnel immediately provided emergency medical care, but despite their best efforts, she could not be revived. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

Voyage Details

The Sky Princess, which has a capacity of 3,600 passengers, had been on an eight-day Caribbean voyage, visiting destinations such as Cozumel, Mexico, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and the Grand Cayman Islands. The ship was en route to Florida when the tragedy occurred.

Passenger Reactions

Footage shared on TikTok appears to capture the announcement informing passengers of the fatality. Travelers reported being confined to their cabins as the situation unfolded.

One passenger shared: “It was a somber atmosphere on board, with many visibly upset by the news.”
