A delivery driver has been stabbed and robbed in broad daylight in Greenwich, prompting a police appeal for witnesses as officers hunt those responsible.

Emergency services were called shortly after 5:30pm to reports of a stabbing in Blissett %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%%, SE18. On arrival, officers found a man suffering from stab wounds.


He was being treated by firefighters from nearby Greenwich Fire Station later being  treated at the scene by paramedics from the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital. His current condition has not yet been confirmed.

The victim, believed to be a delivery  driver, was reportedly attacked by suspects who then stole parcels from his vehicle. The incident occurred in the middle of a residential area, leaving locals shocked by the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%%.

A %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% cordon is in place while forensic teams examine the scene. No arrests have been made so far, and enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%% said:

"Police were called shortly after 17:30hrs on Tuesday, 25 %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_5%% to reports of a stabbing in the vicinity of Blissett Street, SE18.

Officers and %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_6%% attended and a man was located with stab injuries – he has been taken to hospital for treatment where he remains. A condition update awaits.

A %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_7%% remains in place at the location. No arrests have been made and enquiries into the circumstances continue."
