EastEnders star Lacey Turner has shared the heartfelt moment when her fellow cast members “fell to their knees” after she revealed her pregnancy. The actress, known for her long-running role as Stacey Slater on the popular BBC soap, opened up about the experience on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast.
An Exhausting Day on Set
Lacey recalled that she was feeling unusually tired during a demanding day of filming court scenes for the storyline involving Dinos. She explained:
“I was literally falling asleep filming the court scenes for Dinos. My head was on the table. The director must have thought, ‘What has got into her?’ because I’m not someone who relaxes – I’m always up and about.”
The actress admitted that her co-stars noticed how tired she seemed. However, it wasn’t until she was filming with her close-knit group of castmates, affectionately known as The Six, that she decided to share her news.
The Big Reveal
Lacey described how the intimate moment unfolded in the Winnebago on set:
“I was in a room full of men who had no idea what was going on. But then I was filming with the six women, you know, The Six. We were in the Winnebago, and they were like, ‘Oh, how are you feeling?’. And I was like, ‘Well, I’m actually pregnant,’ and they all literally fell to their knees.”
This touching reaction was especially significant for Lacey, as these were the first people she told about her pregnancy. She expressed how overwhelmed she felt by their genuine happiness and support.
A Joyous Moment for the Cast
Reflecting on that emotional moment, Lacey said:
“I thought, they must be thinking, ‘What is she doing? Why does she keep falling asleep everywhere?’ Normally, you can pop up to your dressing room, but I didn’t have a dressing room to hide. I had nowhere to hide. I was just stuck in the Winnebago with everyone looking at me.”
Lacey’s news brought joy to her colleagues, who celebrated her announcement with warmth and excitement.

Earlier this year, Lacey welcomed her third child and shared a heartwarming Instagram post featuring her three children, captioned:
