Emergency services rushed to the scene of a road traffic collision (RTC) on Crofton Road today, where one person had to be extricated from a vehicle following a crash.
London Fire Brigade crews from Orpington and Bromley stations were joined by Croydon's Fire Rescue Unit (FRU) to assist at the scene. Crews worked in coordination with the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% Ambulance Service (LAS) to safely remove a trapped occupant from the vehicle.

A spokesperson %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%%:
"One person was extricated by %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% crews and taken into the care of paramedics. Fortunately, the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%% sustained do not appear to be life-threatening."
Firefighters used specialist equipment to %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_5%% out the extrication, which was completed swiftly and efficiently thanks to the joint response.
The cause of the crash has not been made public, and there were no reports of other %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_6%% involved.
