David Carrick, the former Met police officer and convicted rapist, has been handed yet another life sentence. The 50-year-old was found guilty on Wednesday of historic sex crimes, adding to his lengthy prison term.
Abused 12-Year-Old and Raped Former Partner
Carrick’s latest convictions include sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl back in the 1980s, when he himself was just 14. He was also found guilty of raping a former partner two decades later.
Already Behind Bars for 71 Sexual Offences
He had already been serving 36 life sentences with a minimum term of 32 years after admitting to 71 counts of sexual violence spanning 17 years. Now, his parole eligibility has been pushed back another year—from 2054 to 2055.
