People are urged to steer clear of Harrow View this Monday afternoon (6 October) after a fierce house fire shut the road in both directions, sparking chaos during the school rush hour.

Huge Firefighters’ Operation Underway

  • Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters scrambled to tackle the blaze.
  • The fire broke out on the first floor and loft conversion of a Harrow View house.
  • Fire crews from Harrow, Northolt, and Stanmore rushed to the scene following nine emergency calls.
  • The London Fire Brigade warns locals to avoid the area while they work to extinguish the flames.

“The first floor and loft conversion of a house is alight,” confirmed a London Fire Brigade spokesperson. “The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.”

Road Closure & Delays Hit Commuters

Harrow View remains closed near the junction with Harley Road as firefighters continue their battle. The closure is expected to cause major delays, especially during peak school run hours.

As of 6pm, the fire has been put out, with crews still damping down hotspots to prevent re-ignition. Thankfully, there are no reports of injuries so far.
