Five men have been handed a combined 110 years behind bars for the savage murder of 28-year-old Jordan Hogg in Hemlington. The deadly attack spiralled from a dispute over a stolen bike.
Knife and Machete Attack Inside Victim’s Home
Oliver Connelly, Sidney Bashford, and Ryan Moore stormed Jordan’s home on Fonteyn Court, all armed with knives and machetes. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Kaiden McIver – now named after his reporting restriction was lifted – stood guard outside, also wielding a machete.

Desperate Escape Ends in Tragedy
After the brutal assault, the trio emerged from the flat and headed towards a waiting van, where getaway driver Michael Charville was waiting. Jordan managed to cry for help to his nearby neighbours, but collapsed and tragically died despite frantic efforts to save him in the early hours of Wednesday, 28 February 2025.
