Police have detained four men following a shocking robbery on the M1 where a driver was threatened and robbed in broad daylight.
Motorway Heist Caught on Camera
A viral video, recorded on Wednesday afternoon, shows two men leaping out of a black Land Rover around 3pm. They grab duffle bags from another vehicle with smashed windows, while one man rifled through the back seat as the other looked around the driver’s side. After the raid, the Land Rover sped off, leaving chaos behind.
Police Confirm Arrests
A Northamptonshire Police spokesperson revealed:
“Between 3pm and 3.30pm, the driver of a white Toyota Prius was forced to stop by the driver of a black Range Rover. The occupants of the Range Rover exited the vehicle and approached the other driver before allegedly threatening him and stealing items.”
Four men from South Yorkshire, aged 28, 29, 32, and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery. They have been released on police bail as investigations continue.
