Starting from Hyde Park, where cars began arriving at 6:00 a.m., the event commenced with the first vehicle setting off at 7:00 a.m. on Serpentine Road, close to Hyde Park Corner. The vintage parade showcased early motoring history, drawing car enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike.

 

Route Recap: The run followed two distinct routes through Lambeth, giving fans multiple chances to experience the nostalgia:

Red Route:

  • 7:10 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.: Passed through Lambeth North (A302), Kennington (A23), Brixton (A23), and Streatham (A23).
  • 7:25 a.m. – 9:50 a.m.: Continued through Norbury (A23) and Thornton Heath (A23).

Blue Route:

  • 7:10 a.m. – 9:20 a.m.: Passed through Lambeth, Vauxhall (A3036), Stockwell (A203), and Clapham Common (A3).
  • 7:20 a.m. – 9:50 a.m.: Continued through Tooting (A217), Mitcham (A217), and Mitcham Common (A236).

The streets were filled with the sounds of vintage engines and the cheers of the crowd, as hundreds gathered to celebrate the legacy of motoring. The sight of these cherished vehicles brought an air of nostalgia and appreciation for automotive history.


Local businesses also welcomed the increased foot traffic, with cafes and pubs buzzing with spectators who had come out to enjoy the spectacle. Participants and event organizers expressed their delight at the turnout and the smooth execution of the event.
