Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the scene at 4:42pm. Multiple fire crews remain in attendance and have confirmed the blaze is producing large amounts of smoke visible from miles away, with people reporting sightings as far as Ashingdon. Firefighters Surround the Blaze
By 6:30pm, firefighters reported they had surrounded the fire. At 6:45pm, an update confirmed the blaze was in an industrial building measuring 80 metres by 50 metres.
