A man has been formally charged with murder following the death of a woman at a residential property in Hammersmith earlier this year.
Apapale Adoum, 39, of no fixed address, was charged on Thursday, 5 June, with the murder of Victoria Adams, a 36-year-old woman who was found deceased at a flat in Coulter Road.
Adoum appeared before Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 6 June and was remanded in custody. He is next due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 10 June.
Police Called to Reports of Break-In
The incident occurred on Sunday, 9 February, when Metropolitan Police officers were called to Coulter Road at 10:13pm, following reports that a man was attempting to force entry into a residential flat.
Upon gaining access to the property, officers discovered Victoria Adams unresponsive. Despite emergency efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial Arrest and Charge
A man, initially aged 38 at the time of the incident, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. After further investigation, he was identified and charged as Apapale Adoum.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing but have reached a charging stage sufficient for court proceedings to begin.
