Emergency services were called early this morning (12 October) to reports of a person in distress in the River Thames in Brentford. The incident sparked a major response from Response Team C, London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Upon arrival, responders located a man in the water, struggling and in need of immediate help. Members of the public, along with the RNLI, acted quickly to rescue the individual from the river.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance and police shortly afterwards. Fortunately, he is expected to make a full recovery and is now receiving medical support.
Hounslow Police shared details of the incident on social media, praising the coordinated efforts of all involved in the swift and successful rescue.
