Detectives hunting a suspect in a shocking Telford stabbing have released a photo of a man they urgently want to trace.
Young Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight
At around 8.30pm on Saturday, 8 November, police were called to a playing field on Wellington Road where a 20-year-old man had been stabbed. The victim was rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital but has since been discharged.
Police Seek Abubakar Saleem for Questioning
Officers have launched a full investigation and are keen to speak with 21-year-old Abubakar Saleem. He’s believed to have been in the area at the time and could hold vital information.
Three Arrests Made, But Investigation Continues
- An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but have now been released on bail.
- A 19-year-old man was also arrested on Wednesday, 12 November, and remains in custody.
Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or Abubakar Saleem’s whereabouts to come forward immediately.
