Gardaí are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating James Aherne, a 53-year-old man who has been reported missing from his home in Dublin 8 since 31 March 2025.
James is described as being approximately 6 feet tall, of slim build, with closely shaved mousey brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen at Grand Canal Place in Dublin 8, wearing a black and green jacket, black trousers, and black and white runners.
He was carrying a blue backpack at the time.
Gardaí and James’ family are growing increasingly concerned for his well-being and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone who may have seen James or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Kilmainham Garda Station on 01 666 9700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
The public’s help could be crucial in reuniting James with his loved ones.
