The ringleader of a major organised crime gang (OCG) responsible for supplying crack cocaine and heroin across London has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, following a lengthy investigation by the City of London Police’s Serious Organised Crime Team (SOCT).
A total of 33 and a half years in prison has been handed down to the gang members, with two more offenders awaiting sentencing at a later date.
Gang Dismantled After Major Police Operation
The investigation uncovered a highly sophisticated drug network operating between May 1, 2022, and August 6, 2023. The gang ran two prolific drug lines, known as ‘Reeko’ and ‘Green Eyes’, distributing crack cocaine and heroin across London’s streets.
During warrants executed on August 6, 2023, police seized:
- £45,000 worth of Class A drugs, including pre-packaged crack cocaine, heroin, and MDMA
- A sawn-off shotgun, ammunition, and a firearm silencer
- Multiple mobile phones linked to drug transactions

Mohammed Abdul Bakye, 45 – Ringleader
- 15 years in prison
- Convicted of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of a prohibited firearm
- Subject to a Serious Crime Prevention Order upon release
Detective Constable Jared Fortune, who led the investigation, described Bakye as:
“The head of this violent and exploitative gang, which used children and vulnerable people to deal the most destructive of substances, crack and heroin, in the London area.

- Goulger Ahmed, 42 – Delivered drugs, operated drug lines
- 2 years 11 months in prison
- Nazimul Islam, 43 – Street dealer
- 4 years in prison
- Naseem Ahmed, 22 – Controlled ‘Reeko’ drug line, mobilised others
- 5 years 1 month in prison
- Muhammed Ismail Ahmed, 24 – Packaged drugs, supplied to Bakye
- 6 years 6 months in prison
- Molan Miah, 44 – Set up and controlled the ‘Green Eyes’ drug line
- Awaiting sentencing
- Imran Ahmed, 22 – Supervised and directed drug supply operations
