A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a serious knife assault in Gillingham.
Kent %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% were called to a residential property in the town at around 2:25pm on Saturday, 25 January 2025, after reports of an attack. Officers and %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, where a man in his late teens was found with injuries consistent with stab wounds. The victim was promptly taken to a %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
A %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%%, known to the victim, was arrested at the scene and later charged with attempted murder.
Jamie Goodege, of Fourth Avenue, Gillingham, was remanded in custody and is due to appear before %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%% Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 January 2025.
