A 19-year-old from Sutton Coldfield has been slammed with a lengthy jail sentence for horrific sex offences against children. Jayke Bullivant was sentenced to nine years behind bars at Birmingham Crown Court last week.
Multiple Charges Including Rape and Abuse
Bullivant pleaded guilty to a string of offences including rape, attempted rape, sexual abuse of a child, and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. The crimes date back to an investigation launched in December 2023, when Bullivant was caught with a missing child.
Further police probing revealed Bullivant had raped a child on two separate occasions, adding to his rap sheet.
Harsh Jail Time and Lifetime Restrictions
Bullivant, who lives on Falcon Lodge Crescent, was handed a nine-year prison term with an eight-year extended licence. On top of this, he faces a sexual harm prevention order and will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
DC Amelia Rose and DC Joshua Gemmell from West Midlands Police said: "This sentence is reflective of the abuse suffered by four child victims. They have all shown immense courage throughout this investigation."
"We encourage anyone who has suffered abuse to come forward. You will be supported, and you will be believed."
This case shines a light on the bravery of the victims and the unyielding police work that secured justice.
