A teenager has been charged following an incident involving a knife on a Brighton and Hove bus last month, Sussex Police have confirmed.
The disturbance occurred on December 26 in the Elm Grove area of %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%%. Witnesses reported seeing a bus passenger with a knife, prompting a swift police %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%%.
After conducting enquiries, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy on Friday, January 3. He was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place and possessing a Class B drug.
The %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%%, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was formally charged with both offences the following day.
He is scheduled to appear in %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% on February 13 to face the charges.
