A man has died and a woman was injured after a single-vehicle smash on the A16 this afternoon.
Crash Details: Red Citroen Hits Lamp Post
The incident happened near the Louth Road junction at around 1.10pm on Friday, 21 November. A red Citroen, heading towards the Louth Road roundabout, veered off the road and slammed into a lamp post.
Victims Identified: 82-Year-Old Driver Dies at Scene
The driver, an 82-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, an 80-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and received medical treatment.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Humberside Police have launched an appeal for anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson said:
“We would appeal for anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the collision, who has dashcam footage or witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to us, to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 223 of 21 November.”
