Trike Rider, 76, Dies Eight Days After Colchester Road Crash
A 76-year-old man has tragically died eight days after being involved in a serious road collision between his trike-style motorbike and a Peugeot 208 in %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%%.
The crash occurred at around 8:45am on Thursday, 3 July, on the Northern Approach Road at its junction with Wallace Road. The trike, which had a %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% trailer attached, collided with a red Peugeot 208.
The man, who was from Clacton-on-Sea, was taken to hospital following the incident but sadly died from his injuries on 11 July, %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% Police confirmed today.
Family Being Supported
Specialist officers are now supporting the man’s %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% as they come to terms with their loss. The %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%% publicly.
Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage, particularly from drivers travelling in the area around the time of the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_5%%.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said:
"We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_6%% it, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, to please get in touch. The collision involved a %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_7%% Peugeot 208 and a trike-style motorbike with a red trailer."
