Police Arrest Two Men After Late-Night Assault Involving Weapons
Two men have been taken to hospital following a violent altercation involving weapons at %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% railway station just after midnight.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 12am on Tuesday morning (1 July), where British Transport Police (%%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%%) officers and paramedics responded to reports of an assault.
A spokesperson for BTP told Sussex News:
"We were called to Haywards Heath station shortly after midnight on Tuesday 1 July following reports of an assault.
Officers attended along with paramedics and two people were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
A man has been arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent.A second man was later arrested for affray."
A crime scene remained in place throughout the night while investigations were carried out. %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% services were not significantly disrupted.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
