A man in his 50s has been left in a serious condition following a three-vehicle crash on the A2 near Dartford on the afternoon of Thursday, 13 June.

What Happened?

Emergency services were called to the A2 coastbound between junction 2 of the M25 and Old Bexley Lane at approximately 4.30pm.

The collision involved:

  • A black Triumph motorcycle

  • An orange KTM 360 motorcycle

  • A green Mini Cooper

Police confirmed that the Triumph rider, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital. The second rider, a man in his 30s, is reported to be in a stable condition.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has launched an appeal for information.

“Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward,” said a police spokesperson.

Investigators are particularly interested in sightings of the two motorcycles before the crash.
