A man has been charged following a serious incident in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Pinewood Close, Bemerton Heath on Saturday evening (10 May 2025).

Ashley Sherred, 33, of Southampton Road, Salisbury, now faces charges of:

  • Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent

Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries

The incident occurred around 5.45pm, prompting a %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% response. The male pedestrian, in his 40s, %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% and remains in hospital.

%%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% previously confirmed the vehicle involved—a blue 09-plate Ford Fiesta—had fled the scene but has since been located following public appeals.

Court Appearance Scheduled

Sherred has been remanded into custody and will appear before %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_4%% on Monday, 12 May.
