Police and emergency services are responding to a serious incident in the Croydon area after reports of four people being stabbed near Coomber Way and Beddington Lane, close to the Asda on Marlowe Way. The incindet happened at a Kingfisher distribution centre that supplies Argos and Sainsbury

The stabbings were reported at approximately 10:15 am today (Thursday, January 23, 2025). Multiple victims are receiving medical attention, and the scene remains cordoned off as police conduct investigations. It is understood that Three are walking wound and the Fourth is serious.

Emergency Response

  • London Ambulance Service and the Metropolitan Police are on the scene.
  • An RVP (Rendezvous Point) has been established in the area to coordinate the emergency response.

Residents and commuters are advised to avoid the area while the situation is being handled. Roads around Coomber Way, Beddington Lane, and Marlowe Way may experience disruptions.


 

Police Appeal

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:
“At 10:15hrs on Thursday, 23 January, officers responded to reports of a stabbing at an address on Marlowe Way, Beddington
“Officers are on scene with the London Ambulance Service to treat four injured people.
“The suspect has been arrested.”
