Bricks and rocks were thrown at parked cars in Gravesend by a man who has now been jailed.

Neil Burt caused damage to five vehicles during the space of just three days.

At 10pm on Tuesday 21 January 2025, Burt targeted a car dealership in Overcliffe. He threw pieces of brick at four stationary Vauxhalls, smashing a windscreen and causing scratches, gouges and scuffs.

The 65-year-old was arrested around 30 minutes later, and on Thursday 23 January admitted four counts of criminal damage at Medway Magistrates' %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%%. He was immediately sentenced to eight weeks' imprisonment.

Burt had previously appeared at the same %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_1%% on Monday 20 January, when he admitted his involvement in a separate incident. This happened the day before when a rock was thrown at a windscreen of a car parked at North %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_2%% Station.

As well as the %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_3%% sentence, Burt was also ordered to pay a total of £740 in compensation relating to all five cars.
