Both %%UKNIP_ANCHOR_0%% RNLI lifeboats launched in the early hours of Saturday, 11 October, after reports of an injured person stranded on cliffs west of Eastbourne.

Massive Multi-Agency Search in the Dead of Night

The emergency call came through at 1.42am, triggering a major response led by HM Coastguard. Under pitch darkness, teams combed the cliffs desperately searching for the casualty.

Injured Person Found Outside Main Search Area

Just before 4am, Sussex Police officers located the injured individual outside the original search zone. Both lifeboats were stood down and returned to station shortly after.
