Police are appealing for information following a tragic collision in Buckhurst Hill this morning, Tuesday, 24 December 2024, which claimed the life of a woman in her 60s.
Emergency services were called to Palmerston Road shortly after 7:30am following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was temporarily closed while emergency services worked to manage the incident, but it has since been reopened. Investigators are now working to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to come forward.
