An investigation has been launched after a 14-year-old boy was fatally stabbed on a bus in Woolwich this afternoon.

Incident Details

Police were called at 2.28pm on Tuesday, 7 January, following reports of a stabbing on a Route 472 bus on Woolwich Church Road, near the junction with the A205 South Circular Road.

Emergency services, including the London ambulance-service/" title="Ambulance Service" rel="nofollow">Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, responded quickly to the scene. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the teenager tragically died shortly after they arrived.

Investigation and Public Appeal

A crime scene remains in place with police cordons and road closures, while officers carry out enquiries. No arrests have been made at this stage, and investigations are ongoing.

Authorities are urging any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward. Anyone with details that may assist the investigation is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 3795/07JAN25.
