Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Curtis Green in Sydenham last month have joined his grieving family in issuing a fresh appeal for information as Christmas approaches.
Curtis Green, aged 30, succumbed to his injuries after being shot on Wells Park Road, SE26, at around 10:10 am on Sunday, 10 November. The incident followed a party at a property in Hensford Gardens, which had started the previous evening.
Two others, a man and a woman, were also shot during the same incident. While the man survived, the woman remains in hospital with a long recovery ahead.

Detectives Continue Investigation
Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend, who is leading the homicide investigation, provided an update:
“We have made progress in the investigation and thank all those who have come forward so far. However, we still need to build a fuller picture of what happened to Curtis that morning.
“Two individuals have been arrested and remain on police bail while we conduct further inquiries. Yet, we are still keen to hear from anyone who attended the party or witnessed the events outside Hensford Gardens. Even if you left before the shooting, your information could be vital.
“Curtis’s family is facing Christmas with unanswered questions about the moments leading up to his death. If you know anything, no matter how small, I urge you to come forward. We will support you and, if necessary, work to protect your identity.”

Family’s Emotional Plea

Curtis’s devastated family described him as a “happy, excited, and beautiful” individual who worked to uplift his community.
They said:
“We are appealing to anyone with information about our beloved Curtis. He loved his family and community and worked hard to inspire and uplift others through his businesses.
“We appeal to the community’s morals and integrity to stand for justice and end the violence that is happening far too often. Curtis was a father-to-be, with a child due in five months. Our family is heartbroken, and the pain of his loss will never leave us.”
