Hounslow Central and East Team officers have successfully arrested and charged Jeetan Pankhania, 53, of no fixed abode, in connection with a car break-in and subsequent fraud offences. The incident occurred in their ward, where the suspect had broken into a vehicle and stolen various items.

Determined to solve the case, officers pursued multiple lines of inquiry and reviewed CCTV footage to identify the individual involved. While on patrol, officers recognized Pankhania walking down the street from the surveillance footage linked to the crime.

Pankhania was promptly arrested and later charged with theft from a motor vehicle and two counts of fraud by false representation. On September 27, 2024, he was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison for the offences.

The case highlights the dedication of local officers in solving community crimes and ensuring justice is served. Their vigilance and swift action in recognizing the suspect played a crucial role in bringing the offender to justice.
