West Midlands Police have launched an investigation following a fatal collision on Dixons Green Road, Dudley, early this morning. Authorities were called to the scene shortly after 2am after a car collided with a tree.
The passenger of the vehicle tragically died at the scene, while the driver sustained serious injuries and was subsequently arrested before being taken to hospital for treatment.
A second car, believed to be involved in the events leading up to the collision, was stopped by officers later. Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
Officers remain at the scene this morning, and drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as the investigation is ongoing.
