In a late-night operation, Kent Police in Maidstone successfully apprehended a drunk driver in Marden. The individual was arrested by Local Policing Team after providing a roadside breath sample that indicated alcohol consumption over three times the legal limit.

The incident unfolded when the officers encountered a driver who had parked in an unauthorised area left the road and crashed into a roadside ditch. Sensing something amiss, the officers promptly conducted a breathalyzer test, which revealed alarming results. The individual was found to have a breath alcohol content significantly exceeding the legal limit.

As a result of the arrest, the driver will spend the night in custody and will face charges in the morning.
