A severe crash involving a motorcycle has caused hours of delays on the M25 near the Dartford Crossing, with two lanes on the A282 southbound remaining closed as clear-up efforts continue. The collision, which occurred around 2:30 p.m. today, prompted an air ambulance response and has led to significant traffic disruptions.

Motorists on the clockwise carriageway heading back into Kent are experiencing delays of up to two hours, while the anti-clockwise side has 30-minute queues approaching the tunnel. Although one southbound lane has reopened, National Highways reports that the full reopening of the road has yet to be determined.

A spokesperson for Kent Police stated, “Motorists are advised that the A282 near Dartford is closed in both directions following a serious collision. Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service are at the scene where both carriageways are currently closed. The air ambulance is also in attendance, and motorists should plan their journeys accordingly.”

All emergency services were in attendance at the scene, including the air ambulance, which landed near the accident site.
